Detail
In drawing, I am not looking for representation, but for the connection between body, embodied states and writing. I begin without a predetermined composition, allowing the drawing to emerge through the physical process of drawing itself.
While earlier works often developed spontaneously and quickly, my most recent drawings unfold slowly over several weeks. Working within a consistent format, I repeatedly turn the paper, shifting its orientation.
These works are made with single-colour ink and water, using fine pens and brushes.
